Exciting opportunity for 5th through 8th graders
The Greater Arkansas River Nature Association (GARNA) and the Collegiate Peaks chapter of Trout Unlimited are teaming up to offer a new and engaging program for middle school students in Buena Vista. This program, called Stream Explorers, will focus on stream ecology, fish anatomy and habitat, fly tying, and fly fishing. The program will take place on Mondays and Tuesdays, specifically on July 22, 23, 29, and 30. Shuttle transportation will be provided to a fishing location on the last class, making it a comprehensive and hands-on experience for the participants.
As an added incentive, students who successfully complete all four sessions will receive a Trout Unlimited youth membership. The best part? It’s completely free!
