Strong, received a prison sentence from a ⁣federal court in Springfield as part⁢ of a larger ‌fraud conspiracy that ​spanned the nation. The‍ Department of Justice reported that Strong and ​five other individuals are accused of orchestrating fraudulent activities targeting numerous businesses and private citizens by ‍exploiting unauthorized and stolen payment card⁢ account details.

Details⁤ of​ the Fraudulent Activities

As part of​ their scheme, Strong employed an⁤ array of fictitious⁤ names alongside aliases. He presented counterfeit driver’s licenses related to both made-up identities ​and genuine individuals while also utilizing email addresses under false names ​connected to both non-existent and ​actual companies. Additionally, he falsely claimed affiliations with major entities such as “Universal Music,” “Sony Music,” “Epic Music,”​ among others.

Guilty ‍Pleas and Sentencing Outcomes

In court proceedings on Tuesday, Strong‍ entered a plea admitting guilt​ to one count for conspiracy to ​commit wire fraud along⁢ with four wire fraud charges. He was sentenced to serve 34 months behind bars followed ‍by three years under supervised release. Furthermore, he was instructed⁢ to forfeit $2,159,874 ⁢in illicit gains alongside repayment⁤ totaling $2,159,873.

In addition to Strong’s ⁣sentencing:

  • Herbert Wright III, known professionally ‍as G Herbo—one of the⁢ co-defendants—pleaded guilty to charges including conspiracy related to ⁤wire fraud plus providing ⁣false⁢ information to federal agents; he received three‌ years probation with restitution demands totaling $139,968.
  • Demario Sorrells also admitted guilt regarding conspiracy charges; his recent sentencing included three years probation along with forfeiture and restitution‍ amountsing ⁣each to $106,000.
  • Joseph Williams,⁤ too involved in the conspiracy charge pled guilty; he faced similar sentencing measures including three-year probation ⁤while ⁤having costs set at $155,392 for restitution along with‍ forfeiting $102,116.
  • Awaiting further legal proceedings is Terrence Bender, who is expected to plead guilty in November while Steven ⁢Hayes Jr.‘s case remains pending trial.
