Casey Sixkiller Appointed as New Director of Washington State Department of Ecology
Olympia, WA – In a recent announcement from the office of Governor-elect Bob Ferguson, Casey Sixkiller has been chosen to serve as the 14th Director of the Washington State Department of Ecology, with his term commencing on January 15, 2025. A proud member of the Cherokee Nation, Sixkiller has played a key role in executing landmark legislation such as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act.
