Al Roker’s Granddaughter Brings Holiday Cheer
Al Roker’s granddaughter is undoubtedly on Santa’s nice list this festive season!
On December 10th, the beloved TV personality, age 70, took to Instagram to share an endearing snapshot featuring his daughter, Courtney Roker Laga, aged 37, alongside her 17-month-old daughter Sky beaming alongside Santa Claus. In his post caption, the delighted grandfather disclosed that this marked Sky’s inaugural encounter with Saint Nick.
“This was my little girl’s first meeting with Santa,” Roker shared. “She handled it far better than her mother did during her first visit with the cheerful old man!”

Courtney and her spouse Wesley Laga celebrated the arrival of their daughter Sky Lara in July 2023—instantly elevating Roker’s status to proud “pop-pop.”
In an October segment of Today, Al was joined by his daughter as they demonstrated how to prepare salmon burgers from their joint cookbook titled Al Roker’s Recipes to Live By: Easy Memory-Making Family Dishes for Every Occasion.
After showcasing their culinary skills on live television, Wesley made a surprise entrance carrying baby Sky. The little one appeared visibly upset with tears rolling down her cheeks.

In a heartwarming moment captured on air, Al comforted Baby Sky after taking her into his arms. “Oh no, were you crying sweet pea?” he asked gently. “You were missing your pop-pop. There we go,” he consoled while affectionately bouncing her.
Meanwhile, Courtney attempted to feed Sky some pudding; however, little Sky wasn’t interested and firmly pushed away the spoon offered by her mother.
“I think she got spooked by that KitchenAid mixer,” Courtney joked lightheartedly about a flour explosion that had occurred earlier in their cooking demonstration.
