Mariah Carey: The Reigning Queen ⁤of Christmas

Mariah Carey has firmly established herself as ⁣the reigning queen of‍ the holiday season, and her children couldn’t be more thrilled ⁢to celebrate her legacy!

Following the resurgence of her classic⁣ 1994 hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which has soared back to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Carey’s twins—Monroe and Moroccan, who are now 13 years old and share a father in Nick Cannon—made it a memorable milestone by honoring their mother with‌ an unexpected stage surprise.

In an ⁣Instagram video shared on December 10, Carey showcased⁤ a heartfelt moment during her concert in Raleigh, North Carolina. As ‍she performed, her teenagers emerged from backstage ⁣with a stunning bouquet of flowers to‍ present to their mom amidst applause from fans.

A Heartwarming Tribute

Prior to this touching moment, an announcer ⁢took to the stage declaring: “I don’t mean to interrupt you all, but I want you‍ each to remember we’re here tonight not just for music. We’re presenting our queen Mariah flowers because ‘All I Want for ‌Christmas’ has reclaimed its spot at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart! Let’s hear it for our Queen of Christmas!”

Overwhelmed with emotion after being ⁤embraced by Monroe and Moroccan on stage, Carey expressed her gratitude: “Thank you! Wow! What⁣ perfect⁤ timing⁣ for this news. It’s from⁣ the Hot 100? Thanks so much ⁣to everyone involved in making that happen.”

She reiterated these sentiments in an Instagram caption where she shared some reflections on that special night: “Last night during my concert in Raleigh—I learned that ‘All I Want For Christmas ‍Is You’ returned triumphantly⁢ to #1 on‍ the Billboard Hot 100! Couldn’t have asked for a more ⁣magical place or audience than⁣ my fantastic‌ fans along with my kids and beloved #Christmastime tour family. Immense love and gratitude ❤️❤️❤️ M.”

Celebrating Milestones

This remarkable moment coincides with⁣ Carey’s celebration of three decades since releasing Merry Christmas, which⁤ features her iconic single “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” To mark this occasion meaningfully, she launched a special deluxe edition of the album and continues performing during her ongoing Christmas Time tour.

“I’ve poured my heart into this project,” Carey shared earlier with ⁤PEOPLE regarding details ⁢about her tour launch last April. “Collaborating with amazing talents like ‌Miss Debbie Allen was pivotal.‌ Expect brand new songs alongside some ⁣unforgettable duets.”
