Angelina Jolie Celebrates Award Recognition with Daughter Zahara

Recently, Angelina Jolie ‌took a moment to revel in her achievements ⁤at the Palm Springs International Film Awards, attended alongside her daughter, Zahara ⁢Jolie-Pitt. The event⁢ took place on January 3 at‌ the ‍Palm Springs Convention Center ⁣and marked a special honor for the actress.

In November, it ⁢was publicly‌ announced that Jolie would receive the ‍Desert Palm‍ Achievement Award for her remarkable role as the legendary ⁢opera ⁤singer Maria Callas in Netflix’s⁣ biopic titled Maria. Notably, Jacqueline ⁣Bisset, who is also ⁣Jolie’s godmother, graced the red carpet to present this prestigious award to her.

Honoring an ‍Iconic Performance

Festival Chairman Nachhattar Singh Chandi expressed his⁢ admiration for Jolie’s performance: “In ‌ Maria, we‌ witness Angelina Jolie take on a⁣ role that defines her ⁢career. She ‍successfully‍ embodies Maria⁣ Callas—a figure whose artistic ⁢journey was as⁢ enthralling as her music.” He‌ further added how thrilled they were to recognize Jolie’s mesmerizing⁢ portrayal of such an influential yet tragic personality through this award.

A Fashionable Appearance

To mark this celebration‍ of achievement, Angelina dazzled onlookers in an elegant black halter⁤ gown made from silk that flowed ‌beautifully around her frame. Standing ⁤proudly beside her mother was 19-year-old Zahara and both ladies showcased their unique styles on the red carpet.

Zahara chose a⁤ fashionable white A-line gown ‍adorned with lace‌ details—contrasting perfectly with Jolie’s darker ensemble. Her hair was slicked back neatly while⁤ she opted‍ for light makeup that emphasized youthful elegance.

Just prior to ⁤attending this ‍prominent awards ⁢ceremony, fans spotted⁢ Jolie earlier that day sporting ⁣an all-white suit paired with nude heels—highlighting her sophisticated fashion sense during festival events.

New Beginnings Post-Divorce Settlement

This occasion marks a significant milestone in Jolie’s ⁣life since⁣ she and Brad⁣ Pitt reached an agreement regarding ⁢their divorce proceedings. Alongside Zahara, they share five⁣ other children: ‌Maddox⁤ (23), Pax (21),‌ Shiloh ‌(18), ⁢and ‍twins ⁣Knox⁣ and Vivienne (16).

A source‍ close to the actress mentioned to PEOPLE back in July that she ‌has been feeling joyful and‌ fulfilled lately. “Her focus lies primarily ‍on raising⁣ her kids and engaging in ⁣professional projects she’s truly passionate about,” they shared.

The ‌film Maria ⁤can currently be streamed on Netflix; ⁢moreover, it has also garnered attention by earning a nomination at this year’s Golden Globe Awards scheduled for January 5th.
