On January 24, Randi disclosed via her social media platform that her father, Randy, had transitioned to hospice care after a prior hospitalization that she had made public months earlier.
In an emotional Instagram post, she posted a photo of herself with her father and included a heartfelt message referencing Colossians 3:20 from the Bible: “Children are to obey their parents in all things for this pleases the Lord.”
“My dad is now in hospice care and I am utterly speechless,” Randi captioned the image with several prayer emojis.
A Journey Through Uncertainty
This latest revelation about Randy’s health follows just over four months since Randi first indicated on X (formerly Twitter) that her father was hospitalized under unclear circumstances.
“Please pray for my daddy; he’s in the hospital and not feeling well,” she urged during that time while seeking support from friends and followers alike.
In subsequent weeks, Randi kept fans informed about Randy’s condition. She shared a touching snapshot of him engaged with one of Patrick’s games on TV back on September 29 and announced an uplifting visit with him in November.
“Had an incredible day visiting my dad… please keep him in your prayers for strength #blessed,” she wrote on November 12.

This poignant family update comes just before Patrick leads his team into battle against the Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead Stadium for the AFC championship game set for January 26. In lighter family news amidst these challenges, Patrick Mahomes recently welcomed his third child into their growing family—a baby girl named Golden Raye born on January 12. He and Brittany Mahomes are also proud parents to Sterling Skye, aged three years old, and two-year-old son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III.
During a press conference where he responded to inquiries about possibly expanding their family further down the road, he expressed contentment with their current three-kid setup stating he’s “good with three at this moment.”
