Jesse McCartney and Katie Peterson Announce Exciting Baby News!
Musician Jesse McCartney and his spouse, actress Katie Peterson, are preparing to welcome a “Beautiful Soul” into their family.
The happy couple disclosed their pregnancy in a heartfelt Instagram announcement on February 14. Both 37 years old, they celebrated with a collection of Valentine’s Day-inspired images showcasing their joyful news.
In one adorable shot, the couple donned matching pajamas decorated with “Mom” and ”Dad” monograms while forming a heart shape over Peterson’s blossoming baby bump. The series concluded with an endearing sonogram image framed by red roses and heart graphics featuring the names ”Baby Mac” alongside the anticipated due date: “Aug. 2025.”
They also highlighted their little one’s expected arrival in the post’s caption: “Our lil Valentine 🌹🧸 arriving 8/8 xo, JK.”
Capturing Memorable Moments
Jesse shared on his Instagram Stories how they revealed their exciting news to everyone.
“Okay, here goes,” he states in a video as the couple gets ready to share their announcement from one of their devices. “About to let everyone know!”
Katie humorously chimed in with some nervous laughter: “I’m scared,” just before they pressed ‘upload’ together.
He added in his story caption: “Making this public really made it hit home! A new chapter awaits us all!”
On her own Instagram Stories, Peterson reposted photos from the announcement along with a sweet caption declaring them both “Mom and Dad,” accompanied by heart hands emojis.
A Beautiful Journey Together
McCartney and Peterson first united during dating for seven years before tying the knot in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, back in 2021.
Reflecting on how they first met at a bar where Katie worked, McCartney reminisced about trying to impress her: “I was attempting some charming lines because I found her incredibly beautiful; however, she didn’t seem interested initially. Eventually, I scribbled my number down on a napkin—and she quickly pointed out that I forgot to include my name!” After writing his name down too again that night sparked what would become an incredible love story between them.
Katie has expressed what she cherishes most about Jesse saying:
“He is incredibly considerate of my time,” illustrating how someone so busy still finds ways to prioritize her needs. She added light-heartedly that together they always find moments filled with laughter: “I feel completely at ease being myself around him—a true indication of having found your perfect match.”
