Tia Mowry Embraces Vulnerability to Empower ​Others

At a recent launch event for Overjoyed in Los Angeles on February ⁣20, actress Tia Mowry, 46,​ emphasized her commitment to revealing her personal challenges through her reality series ​ Tia Mowry: My ⁢Next‌ Act.She believes‍ sharing these experiences can provide support and encouragement to others.

“My actions⁢ are always ⁤guided by intention; I strive‍ for empowerment ⁢and inspiration in everything I do,” Mowry shared during an exclusive interview with PEOPLE.

Reflecting on the recognition of her show at the upcoming 2025 NAACP Image ⁢Awards,she expressed genuine surprise and gratitude. “I never expected this ⁣recognition,” remarked the Sister, ⁣Sister star. “It truly warmed my ​heart that people have noticed and embraced this work.”

A Glimpse Into Transition: Life After Divorce

Debuting last ‌fall,⁣ Tia ⁢Mowry: My Next Act invites viewers behind the scenes as she navigates⁤ life after parting ways with ex-husband Cory Hardrict. With their two children—son Cree, aged 13, and daughter Cairo, aged ‌6—Mowry balances responsibility as a mother while rediscovering her own identity post-divorce.

Describing one way she connects with her children as a form of love expression—through cooking—she told⁣ PEOPLE‍ that‌ “food ‌is an‌ integral‍ part of my love language.”

Identifying ⁣herself as ⁤”a nurturer,” she elaborated on how cooking creates cherished ​moments among family and friends. “I find joy in ⁢preparing meals for others; ⁢those experiences help forge valuable memories.”
