The Urban Ecology Center has successfully completed the fundraising for its new event venue, Prairie Springs on Park, and is now focusing on raising $700,000 for a new Community Green Space at Riverside Park. This two-acre green space will transform neglected industrial land into a beautiful area suitable for school activities, community gatherings, and events. The space will be equipped with picnic tables, native plantings, bioswales, and a new trail connection into Riverside Park.

Housed in a restored Cream City brick building named after the lead donor – Prairie Springs: The Paul Fleckenstein Trust – it will provide an urban elegance intertwined with nature.
The restoration of this historical building carries great significance as it contributes to providing beautiful and safe outdoor spaces for the children of Milwaukee.
